The flute

Today I'm going to talk about the flute.

The flute is a family of musical instruments in the woodwind group. A flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. According to the instrument classification of Hornbostel–Sachs, flutes are categorized as edge-blown aerophones.

A musician who plays the flute can be referred to as a flute player, flautist, flutist or, less commonly, fluter or flutenist.

The flute is not made of one continuous piece of metal; it is divided into three sections called joints. These three are the head joint, the middle joint and the foot joint. These pieces are connected by thinner metal tubes called tenons.

Let's learn about the anatomy of a typical flute from end to end.

The flute barrel is a small fluted area at the top end of the middle joint of the flute which serves no acoustic purpose, but helps to balance the flute's looks and usually carries the logo of the maker of the flute engraved on its surface.

The embouchure hole is a small hole in the head joint of the flute where air blown by the player enters the flute.

Resultado de imagen de flute crown

The crown caps the end of the flute near the embouchure hole, directing sound down the flute past the key holes.

The foot joint is the last of the three sections of the flute, is where sound emits from the flute.

Resultado de imagen de flute head joint

The head joint is the first of the three sections of the flute where the sound of the flute originates as the player blows air into the flute through the embouchure hole

Resultado de imagen de flute middle joints

The middle joint is the second of the three sections of the flute.

Resultado de imagen de flute keys Flute keys are small round padded metal covers that are mounted on metal rods, which allow them to alternatively cover and uncover the holes in the sides of the flute when combinations of fingerings are made on the flute. They change the flow of air in the instrument and thereby raise or lower the pitch.

TwoSetViolin

Hello, guys!!! Now I wanna show you one of my favourite musical Youtube Channels!

This is a channel called ''Two set violin'', and, as the name indicates, they're two boys, brothers, who play the violin, but their channel isn't the tipical boring channel of two boys playing clasical songs or popular songs on the violin, they make funny videos with the violin, as tags, parodies, challenges with the violin trying to play very difficult songs, etc... I think that even if you're not a violinist, you will enjoy their videos, because they're very funny!!

Here you have some of their funny videos:

They also make concerts in auditoriums because they are very good violinists! , but as you can imagine, their concerts aren't normal, they're all the concert joking and acting so that make their shows uniques (and also expensive), so a lot of people go there to see their incredible shows.

I hope you like their videos!!!!😃

This instrument is from Hawaii, and is a member of the lute family of instruments. It generally employs four nylon or gut strings or four courses of strings.
The ukulele is originated in the 19th century as a Hawaiian adaptation of the Portuguese machete, a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portugueses inmigrants. It gained great popularity elsewhere in theUnited States during the early 20th century and from there spread internationally.
The tone and volume of the instrument vary with size and construction. Ukuleles commonly come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone.

Eurovision

This year, the song that goes for the Eurovision festival was chosen in a program called ''Operación triunfo'', a competition where people from Spain who sing very well compete for being the best singer of that program, and they live in the same house for a few months.

The participants of ''Operación Triunfo'' sang different songs written by composers, and after that, the viewers of the program voted their favorite song. At the end of the night, the jury recounted the votes and announced what was the winning song and the singer who was going to represent Spain in Eurovision festival.

The violin

Hello guys! today I'm gonna talk about the instrument I'm learning, the violin.

Resultado de imagen de violin

The violin is a wooden string instrument, it is the smallest and highest-pitched instrument in the family in regular use, in the orchestras, this instrument is usually used to play the main theme or the melody of the scores because of their capacity of playing high notes and their type of sound.
This instrument has four strings tuned in perfect fifths (G, D, A, E) , and is most commonly played by drawing a bow across its strings, but it can also be played by plucking the strings with the fingers (pizzicato) and by striking the strings with the wooden side of the bow (col legno).

There are also electric violins, they are used in concerts of a soloist in a big auditory, usually pop concerts, because you can connect them to a speaker so you can hear it thoughout all the auditory.
There are a lot of original designs of electrics violins!!! Some of them are:
Resultado de imagen de violin electrico

These are the most important parts of the violin:

Bridge: Used to sostain the strings

F-holes: Used to let the sound enter inside the violin.

Fine tuners and pegbox: Use to tune the violin.

Chinrest: Used to sustain the neck of the violinist.

Strings: Used to produce the sound.

In an orchestra, there are two different types of violins, first violins and second violins.
The first violins used to play the melody of the score, and the second violins used to play the accompainment. I will talk about the orchestra and their components in a different entry very soon!!!
